About
The website
This site is built in WordPress with a basic and free template. It showcases no real skill in development, but rather focuses on performing a very simple task for me. Which is to function as a blog and a discussion forum.
I believe that you should choose the right tool for the job and utilize pre-built code to your advantage. Building everything from scratch will keep you from working efficiently. WordPress is the perfect tool for a simple blog with very little work needed to get it running. Through some basic knowledge in PHP and its construction it allows you to customize a website with not only a very proficient admin interface, but also a highly modular framework and broad plugin library.
Content
This website will mainly consist out of blog posts that focus on topics that I enjoy and would like to discuss with others. I will post according to a highly irregular schedule, in other words when I have time and an idea. Since I also enjoy cooking, I might write down some nice recipes and links to recipes that I enjoy and can recommend.
Make sure to comment on posts where I enabled it, so that they become discussions instead of monologues.
Me
Since this is a website with my name as the domain, it would make little sense not to use this site as a way to present myself.
In short, I am a software developer with a Masters in Information and Communication Technology with a focus in Industrial Management. My main work experience within the area is at a swedish bank where I worked with Derivatives Clearing.
After working at the bank, my life quickly took a turn and I took over my parents chocolate factory together with my wife. My greatest motivation for this alternative choice in my career, is because I have a great desire to learn. This includes how to run a company and all that it entails. Although programming is still very much part of my life and will also become a main focus in my career again.
My hobbies, which you will be able to take part of by reading my blog, include cooking, programming, reading, drawing and video games. Although reading has been going slow after my studies sucked the fun out of it, I feel that the motivation to read more has begun to increase again.
If you would like to check out more about my background you can check out my LinkedIn profile. I am and will be working on some open source projects, which you can check out at GitHub.
